Folklore Fridays: Traditional Storytelling
A Night of Traditional Storytelling of Food and Folktales!
Phoenix Folklore Friday will be exploring a teeny, tiny slice of Food and Folktales–feasting, famines, fruits, vegetables, baked goods, cheeses, cultural identity, culinary wisdom, and much, much more. We are so excited to hear how this month’s storytellers and musicians are inspired by the theme.Come explore the topic of Food and Folktales!
“Der Mensch ist, was er ißt.”
…Ludwig Andreas Feuerback
Join us for an evening of traditional stories and songs that allow for a pause to reconnect with each other, to honor the past, and to reawaken our kinship with nature.
The evening commences at 7:30pm. There usually is a break between the two hours to grab a drink and a snack, unless we have some cancellations. Then we will run the session straight through. As always, the skill of the oral storyteller will ensure that the stories are appropriate for the audience.
Wishing you all the best,
Chrissy and Rachelle Dart
