Friday, June 12, 2026 is usually our monthly Folklore Friday, but it will not be held this month due to medical issues. We will be sharing an evening of original music and more with James Speiser.  For over 30 years, James has been creating his own style of music, a mix of jazz, blues, swing, Tex-Mex, honky-tonk, Brazilian, and Cuban grooves on his Spanish guitar, and Down Home Blues, Americana, and Soul on his National Resophonic Slide Guitar.

Born near Chicago, Blues is central to James’ unique sound, but this music has a more than a Latin tinge. He grew from street corners to gigs, to booking clubs and having a film series/tv show “Blue Roots Denver.” James is now living in Phoenix and we are grateful for his help playing on short notice again for all of us!
